Class Levels Explained

You may be wondering why we have different levels to our group classes, and which one is the most suitable for you. Let's start with the why...

Pilates class levels are important so that each participant receives the appropriate instruction and guidance tailored to their individual needs and abilities...

Safety - because individuals have varying levels of strength, flexibility, and coordination so we want to make sure that you are placed in the right class where the exercises will be challenging but suitable.

Progression - Class levels provide a structured framework so that you can advance through the exercises as you build strength, flexibility, and body awareness.

Individualised Attention - Our expert teachers can provide better modifications, corrections, and variations without disturbing the flow of the class.

Focus and Intensity - Our class levels enable our teachers to maintain a consistent pace and intensity level that is suitable for everyone in the class, maximizing the effectiveness of the workout.

Community and Support - Creating a supportive environment where individuals can encourage and motivate each other, share experiences, and celebrate achievements together.

Goal Setting - With a structured progression system in place class levels allows you to set realistic goals, helping you to track your progress and stay motivated.

All Levels - Tower Classes

Whilst we are waiting for our new equipment to arrive our recently added Tower classes have limited availability so we have set these classes at all levels, making them suitable for beginners to advanced as long as you are injury free.

Beginner Courses

Our beginner courses are a great entry point, suitable for complete beginners or those who are returning to Pilates. The mat based classes run over four weeks, teaching you the fundamentals of Pilates that can be applied to both the matwork and equipment based classes.

Beginner / Intermediate

In this class, you will learn the fundamental exercises and connections that will enable you to progress over time to the Intermediate level and gain a deeper mind-body awareness.

Intermediate

This is a progressive class that adds more challenging exercises from the classical syllabus designed to build strength and flexibility and improve coordination and body awareness.

Intermediate / Advanced

This challenging class is designed for those who are consistent with their Pilates practice. You will have a good understanding of the Pilates principles and fundamentals, be mind-body aware, and injury-free.

Slow and Steady

This is a specially adapted class for those who understand the fundamentals of classical Pilates and body awareness, but have ongoing physical concerns.
